We're Back — Update and New Pricing

It’s been quiet around 2stitchOrganizer — too quiet. We unfortunately didn’t have the capacity to deliver updates over the past few years, and we’re sorry about that. We know many of you have been hoping for new features and improvements.

To change that, we’ve decided to introduce a small annual subscription for 2stitchOrganizer. We know that’s not what everyone wants to hear — after all, the app has been free until now. But without your support, we simply can’t sustain development. With the subscription, we can deliver regular updates and work on the features you’ve been asking for.

What’s New in This Update?

Faster and Smoother

We’ve put a lot of work into making the app feel snappier. Scrolling through large libraries is now much faster, and the whole app feels far less sluggish — especially noticeable if you have thousands of designs.

Export Your Catalog as PDF

You can now export your catalog as a PDF or print it directly — your complete collection or just specific categories. Perfect for documenting your designs or hanging them up in your workshop.

New File Formats

2stitchOrganizer now supports vp3, vip, pcs, shv, and emd. We’ve also added support for external color files (col, rgb) — formats without built-in thread colors are now displayed with matching colors.

When you upgrade to the new version, use FileRefresh to re-read all files and regenerate the preview images. Note: This may take a while depending on the size of your collection.

Backup & Restore

Your catalog data — keywords, categories, notes — represents a lot of work. With the new backup feature, you can save everything as a file and restore it whenever needed. Don’t just use this when moving to a new computer — make regular backups. A hard drive crash or other mishap can happen at any time. (Note: The embroidery files themselves are not part of the backup — only the catalog data.)

Improved Filters

You can now filter for files without keywords — making it easy to find embroidery files you haven’t organized yet. We also show notices when active filters return few or no results. So you won’t wonder why nothing is showing up.

Dark Mode and High-Resolution Displays

We’ve improved the Dark Mode rendering so that everything looks clean in both light and dark views. We’ve also improved the display on high-resolution screens.

Cleaner Thread Overview

Unused threads are no longer shown in the overview panel in the bottom right, keeping things tidier.

We’re happy to be back — and grateful to everyone who supports us along the way!
