A library of embroidery designs organized by tag in 2stitchOrganizer

Used by 27,853 embroiderers since 2019.

Hobbyists, shops, and everyone in between.

If any of this sounds like your design library, keep reading.

  • You bought the same design twice because you couldn't remember if you already had it.
  • Your "to stitch out" folder has 400 files and no record of which ones actually turned out well — or which threads you used last time.
  • Your designs are scattered across a laptop, an external drive, two USB sticks, and a Dropbox folder — and you can never remember which copy is the latest.
  • Every time you want a 4×4 inch autumn design, you open twenty files hoping one of them is the right size.
  • A client asks "can you re-stitch that bee design from last spring?" — and you have no idea where it came from or what you called it.
  • You've thought about starting over with a clean folder structure. Then you looked at 5,000 files and gave up before you began.

You don't need more folders.
You need a library that knows what's in it.

From 50 files to 5,000 — bring order to it all

An embroidery file organizer that grows with your collection — whether you're a weekend hobbyist or running a busy sewing business.

Tag designs the way YOU think about them

A file can only live in one folder. But it can carry as many tags as you want — comic dogs kids puppies on the same design. Pick a tag and every matching design surfaces, wherever it's saved.

See every design without opening it

Browse your embroidery library the way you browse your photos — every design shown as a real stitch preview, with stitch count, color count, and dimensions right there. No more double-clicking twenty files to find the one you want.

Non-destructive — your files stay put

2stitchOrganizer reads your existing folder structure and builds an index on top. It never moves, renames, or modifies your files. Uninstall any time and your library is exactly as you left it.

Questions about organizing

Will 2stitchOrganizer move or rename my files?
Nope — it's non-destructive by design. Your folders, filenames, and files stay exactly where they are. Tags and the index are stored separately as metadata, so you can uninstall any time with zero impact on your library.
How do I tag thousands of files without losing my mind?
Start broad and refine later. Batch-tag by folder — select everything in /autumn-2023 and apply the autumn tag in one go. Once the big buckets are in place, refining them is easy. Most users get a library under control in an afternoon.
Does it work with files on an external drive or USB stick?
Yes — local drives, a single external drive, network shares, and cloud-synced folders (Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud) all work. One caveat: if you index files on a removable drive or USB stick and then rescan while it's unplugged, those designs drop out of the library until the drive's back. For the smoothest experience, keep your main library on your computer or one reliable external drive rather than spread across a basket of loose USB sticks.
Can I export my catalog?
Yes — print a PDF catalog as a grid of thumbnails with filename and size for each design, grouped by folder. Great for clients, craft fairs, or your own reference.
What embroidery machine does it work with?
Any machine that reads the common formats — Brother, Janome, Husqvarna Viking, Bernina, Tajima, Babylock, Pfaff, Singer, and more. 2stitchOrganizer is manufacturer-neutral, so whatever's in your sewing room, it'll play nice.
How much does it cost?
A low annual subscription — start with a free 7-day trial, no credit card required. If it's not for you, there's a 14-day money-back guarantee on paid plans. No surprises.
