Multiple embroidery formats opened in 2stitchOrganizer, showing stitch previews and file details

Used by 27,853 embroiderers since 2019.

Hobbyists, shops, and everyone in between.

If this is your embroidery stash, keep reading.

  • You've got files in four different extensions on your computer and a nagging feeling half of them are duplicates.
  • You upgraded machines and suddenly your old designs feel "stuck" — even though the stitches are perfectly fine.
  • You've got a PES viewer, a vague memory of a JEF viewer, and no idea which one to open when a friend sends a file.
  • You tried an online embroidery viewer once and never quite worked out where your design file ended up afterwards.
  • Windows shows a generic icon for half your embroidery files and a thumbnail for the other half — so browsing by eye is a lost cause.
  • You inherited a folder of embroidery files from your mum, a craft-group friend, or a machine-shop cleanup — and you have no idea what any of it is.

One app. All your formats. Your whole collection, finally visible.

See every stitch, rendered accurately

Every stitch rendered accurately, with real thread colors, hoop dimensions, stitch counts and file metadata right there on screen. Know what you're working with before you hoop anything.

One app, every format

A single embroidery viewer for your PC or Mac that handles the whole library you've collected over the years.

Accurate preview

True stitch-level rendering with real thread colors, so you can spot problems before you hoop anything.

Tag and search

Add your own tags, then filter by tag, folder, hoop size, file format, notes or favorites to find any design in seconds.

Send to USB stick

Select any design in your library and send it to your machine's USB stick with a click — ready to stitch.

Printable PDF catalogs

Print a PDF catalog to flip through at your desk, view on a tablet or phone, or email to a client.

Filter by hoop size

Set your hoop size and designs that are too big to stitch drop out of view — no more loading a file only to realise it won't fit.

Color files handled

Reads companion color files (.col, .edr, .inf, .rgb) automatically, so your thread colors show up the way the designer intended.

One app that reads all 13 common formats — PES, DST, JEF, VP3, EXP and the rest
Uploading designs to online viewers you know nothing about
Everything opens locally — files never leave your computer
Hunting through folders because Windows shows generic icons
Every design rendered as a real stitch preview, browsable at a glance
Loading each file on the machine just to see hoop size and stitch count
Dimensions, stitch count and thread colors shown before you walk to the sewing room
A pile of unknown-format files inherited from a friend or family member
Drag the folder in — 2stitchOrganizer figures out what's what
Designs spread across four drives and three machine brands

You don't need a viewer per machine. Point 2stitchOrganizer at your folders and every format you've collected shows up in the same tidy library — ready to browse, tag, and stitch.

Common questions

Can I view embroidery files without my machine's software?
Yes. 2stitchOrganizer is a standalone embroidery file viewer for PC and Mac, so you don't need Brother PE-Design, Janome Digitizer or any other machine software installed. Just drop your files in and preview them. Handy when you're shopping for designs online and want to check before you buy.
What's the difference between PES and DST?
PES is Brother and Babylock's home-embroidery format and carries thread-color information along with the stitches. DST is Tajima's commercial format — it's stitch-only, so colors aren't stored in the file itself. 2stitchOrganizer reads both and will pull colors from companion files (like .edr or .col) when they're available.
Does 2stitchOrganizer convert between formats?
Not yet. Right now it's focused on viewing and organizing — think of it as your library and preview tool, not a conversion tool. Format conversion is on the roadmap, but if you need that today you'll want a separate app.
Will it work with my machine?
If your machine reads any of the 13 supported formats (DST, EMD, EXP, HUS, JEF, PCS, PEC, PES, SEW, SHV, VIP, VP3, XXX), you're set. You can also send designs straight to a USB stick for your machine, ready to stitch.
How much does it cost?
A low annual subscription, with a 7-day free trial (no credit card needed) and a 14-day money-back guarantee if you change your mind. No hidden add-ons or per-format upgrades.
